I had an experience in my childhood that caused me to stop singing. I just decided I could not do it and that was that. As an adult and especially after my child was born, I kept feeling an urge to sing again. Terrified I would only sing in my car when driving and never in front of anyone. I would watch with envy when friends would bust into song and I would witness the joy in their faces. Still I would experience great terror at the thought of singing.
A breakthrough for me was when I started listening to music from other cultures and even some obscure American music that had a whole new range of tones. At first these tones sounded dissonant to me and I had a strange reaction in my body. Both attraction and rejection of these tones was happening inside of me. I was curious so I kept exploring music from all cultures and genre’s to see how the different tones felt to me. Years and years passed and I still was not singing in front of people – but I started toning as a part of my meditation practice.
I would always start with dissonant and grumbly sounds that my body wanted to make. All of the sounds that I had previously judged as “out of tune” or wrong – I would just make the sounds and slowly I would raise and lower the sound, up and down the octave until I felt something shift inside of me.
I have practiced a variation on this for about a year now and I have experienced profound shifts in my life as a result. My ear for music changed. My body’s subtle communications became more clear, and I started hearing more subtle frequencies that I later interpreted as communications from higher dimensions.
Below describes the process as I practice it now. I was inspired to clarify this practice when about a few months ago I listened to a talk by Jill Mattson. She described a process very similar to what I was doing - that she called “the music of the spheres”. The practice below is a meld of the two:
First find a painful experience in your life, or a place in your body that is hurting. You can also find a place on the planet that is suffering and follow this same practice using the ‘earthly body’. Find the feeling or sensation in your body and give it a sound that you feel describes it. Even if it is a deep grumble and does not seem very clear…do your best to give it a sound
Now make that “grrrrrrrrrrrrrr” sound - or whatever it sounds like for you. Next raise the sound one octave – and make the sound again - “grrrrrrrrrrrrrr”
Feel the vibration rise up just a bit from where it started.
Next raise the sound another octave - ”grrrrrrrrrrrrrr” - again feel the vibration moving up higher and outside of your body.
Raise it another octave…and repeat...keep raising the tone slowly one octave at a time and tone it again.
Take your time and breath in between each tone.
Once the sound gets higher than your able to tone with your voice, use your imagination to go higher.
Continue to raise the tone in your imagination all the way up past the building you are in, up past the earth’s atmosphere and just notice where you are. Once you are above the Earth, look back down on yourself – and just notice how you feel.
Find your way all the way up to the center of the milky way galaxy always notice how you feel at each tonal point and then go further with your imagination until you connect with the heart of creator here. I like to imagine connection with the Creator or Great Mother/Father Heart energy.
Notice how you feel here in the source energy space.
Now take that tone and the loving creator energy associated with it and bring it down one octave at a time with a breath and a tone at each interval.
Down from the milky way.
Down to our solar system.
Then while you are above the Earth’s atmosphere bring this loving energy with you down into the earth.
With another tone bring the energy down to the building you are in.
And with another tone, bring the loving energy down to your subtle body. Breath and again with another tone bring that loving energy back into your body. Feel free to bring this energy anywhere in your body you need.
After you have finished check in with your body again to see how you feel? Did the energy shift for you? Do you feel differently? Repeat this as needed and notice how it affects your body, and your life.
If you find this practice helpful please give it a try and let me know how it goes.
We all live in our own bubbles - so to speak, where we feel separate from what is happening in our outer world. In some ways, this is a defensive tactic, a learned behavior where past trauma or difficult situations in our reality caused us to recoil – however much of it is due to programs we received as children. From parents, teachers and television programs that told us how the world works, that taught us to override feelings and focus on what I call density logic (meaning if you can’t observe it with taste, touch or human sight – then it’s not real. Even when science has proven otherwise we still cling to these old beliefs. The side effect of these old programs is disconnection from the collective consciousness. We accept the program so fully that we deny that an inner world even exists. The inner world gets labeled as fantasy and becomes a place of denial. Where everything you don’t like or that feels dissonant can be blamed on something outside of us. This contributes to our reality – because what is going on inside of us is directly related to the reality we live in.
Another truth we lose in this program is the fact that we are all connected like a beautiful, complex, and constantly changing crystal cluster - or fractal. The collective conscious is a series of energy connections with points that grow or shrink in energy and add to the ever changing of our collective fractal. At the same instant, you come up with a new “idea” it already exists in the collective consciousness. Someone else is also getting that same idea – or maybe already has. The more folks who find connection to this unified field of consciousness the faster information travels. It is the space of “anything is possible” – for all of us. In a true collective compassionate and loving space, there is no need for jealousy or competition. We are all connected and we all have gifts to offer. Each of us has our own unique and creative approaches to life’s challenges – we all have access to great energy and opportunity if we seen it out on the inner plane.
There is no one way, its limitless the forms a fractal can make. Many guru’s have shared teachings stating they have the answers to enlightenment – or they have the only tools to access other dimensions or to reach ascension – and in some cases – they do have answers. They have the answers that worked for them. This can be helpful to many of us – we can gain insights and benefit from what they share and by implementation of new practices, thought forms and vibrations.
The problem comes in when folks start to think the exact same approach works for everyone and we implement practices because a guru said it works. This becomes like a band-aid rather than addressing the root issue – which is the frequencies (thoughts, feelings, experiences etc) – inside of you. Getting at the root of why your energy manifested this experience or pattern? So even a guru’s advice must be met with discernment from your inner self. This includes my information here. There is no one size fits all approach, we must all discern what is right for ourselves.
We are all very different – our energies work differently and our soul experiences vary greatly. This is why one person can eat foods others cannot or some are more susceptible to illness where others are not. Genetics are only a very small part of who we are. The science of epigenetics has proven the cellular memory we retain from our ancient ancestors continues to express itself in our bodies today.
Yet even in our differences, we remain connected. Right now is a very significant window of great transformation on our planet, and the cosmos as well. Tremendous energies are being sent to earth for those who choose to hear them. These energies can assist us in clearing old beliefs, programs, and paradigms that are not working for us and especially emotional energy that we have carried forward from our ancestors. This energy of release is an important step for each us, even though it may look very different from person to person how the transmutation manifests in our lives.
Getting clear means bringing awareness of what energies you are surrounded by. What is your space like? Does it inspire you? What are you listening to? Do you listen to angry music or songs of heart break? What is your inner dialogue like? Are you critical on yourself, using words like: should or shouldn’t, can’t, trying, not enough, must, have no choice, etc - or are you feeling like a victim to your circumstances? Do you talk about being “broke” or “struggling” - and on repeat? Are you constantly “fighting against” situations or people who you believe are against you?
Pay attention to your inner dialogue and the space around you is a good start to knowing yourself. Every sound we hear affects us, every word we say is heard by the body. The collective sounds that you experience from the womb to present time all contribute to your personal vibration, and ultimately, they create your reality. It is very critical that we take the time to know ourselves. Then find ways to honor the feelings and urging of our body and emotions. They are the guide that will take us to places we need to look.
An approach I have used is to create (or find) a space inside of you that remains neutral, curious, and compassionate. Create a visual image, and really feel into the space. Find the feelings in your self of love and compassion. This is usually associated with the heart but trust your self and let the feeling expand untill you feel safe, then when your ready following your bodies cues find the vulnerable parts of yourself and bring them some of this loving energy. Opening these spaces and giving them acceptance and loving energy can assist us in clearing out old stuck emotional energy and finding ourselves in the process. With the help of this neutral (non-judgmental) creator or heart energy, bring as much light love and awareness into these feelings and sensations of the body with the intention to clear what is stuck and get energy flowing for the highest good of all concerned. Slow breathing techniques, meditation and even dancing or wiggling around, crying and hiding under the covers or finding some toys and playing like a child are all ways to connect inward and move energies. Expressing anger sadness, jealousy and rage in a safe space helps to clear out the stuck places as well and expression facilitates release. Always bringing in more and more loving light energy after each release. Literally re-fill your body with loving light energy. Ultimately this type of attention on the inside will open to more direct connection with divine energies.
I find it helpful to remember that these energies are in a large part due to ancestral imprints we are still operating under. These old energies no longer apply to life as we could be living it today, and these energies can be released. It may be uncomfortable to release these old energies because it means we must feel at least in part what these experiences are/were to fully clear them from our bodies (emotional, mental, subtle and physical). This is where we may need to seek out help. Especially when energies are very old or linked to very traumatic experiences of abuse and death. Sound therapies, dancing, meditation, drumming, sharing and healing circles and especially emotional process work have helped me tremendously in developing a strong inner connection and awareness of more subtle communications. Also body work and various massage techniques and intuitive readings have given me additional support and insight. Even when seeking out help from one another we are simply interpreting the energies of the other through our own filters. So there will be limits to how much we can achieve with outside help, because we all have the answers we seek within – the more we connect with our own inner self, our being, our higher self and ultimately our soul – the clearer the picture will become.
When I started my journey of awakening and healing I was a teenager. Unsettled with life how it was taught to me and tired of feeling at the mercy of some outside forces - I began a journey to know myself at a deeper level. I started meditation and reading everything I could find on self healing. After some time seeking and implementing new practices I started reviewing myself in a new way. I started to witness myself at a deep level by allowing emotional expression fully into my life.
After I practiced emotional expression for a few months, I started having tremendous insights. I realized that a large part of how I saw the world and how I experienced my interactions with others was based on projection. I also realized that these feelings were actually coming from my suppressed emotional subconscious and just attaching to people and circumstances outside myself mostly to gain my attention. I began to see how I attracted difficult people and circumstances to myself that corresponded to the feelings because my subconscious was desperate for clearing.
For the first time in this life, I realized the implication and importance of taking responsibility for my emotional experience. I saw that the first step to working on my emotional self was Awareness. Which included first: become aware of the feeling, let it come up to my bodies awareness. Next: Understand that the feelings are coming from the suppressed, unconscious reservoir within and give it a very gentle non-judgmental approach. And Finally: Take responsibility for the feeling exactly as it is and give it love and acceptance.
Acceptance does not necessarily mean accepting negative people or circumstances, it only refers to your feelings, as they are. The resistance that blocks full feeling occurs on a mental level. It is necessary to look at all the ways that we resist our experience, and to make the changes to allow safe expression of feelings.
We can use food, drugs, sex, entertainment etc all as diversions from feelings. More subtle forms of emotional avoidance are worrying, controlling, living in the past or future, living according to rigid concepts, judging self and others, even constantly seeking “answers” or talking about the feelings rather than sitting and feeling them. And, of course relationship dependencies are also possible unconscious but often deliberately avoiding the feelings. Any feeling can be appropriate for processing, anxiety, anger, sadness, rejection, heartbreak, humiliation, loneliness, hatred, inadequacy, feeling manipulated, used, hurt, depressed, etc. Allow the feeling to be, allow it to exist on its own.
Try to see if it has a place it your body – just observe with out judgement. Breathe into it.
Watch and experience the feeling. Allow the feeling to come forward fully. Allow yourself to go through it – however that unfolds, but usually with tears and sounds. Let the feelings flow. After you release and start to camp you will feel a "shift" - you will have released the old stuck feeling energy. It is likely you will have to repeat this at other times to completely release the suppressed feeling, and I in some cases with deep trauma it can take a few sessions to clear. In other cases it can be cleared immediately. The closer you process the emotions you are feeling to the experience that triggered you, the easier it will become to stay emotionally balanced.
As you work with truly experiencing all feelings instead of avoiding them you will begin to feel alive again. Blocking of so called negative feelings also blocks positive experience and expression of life
I have found that connecting to your higher self or your over-soul before emotional processing through meditation adds a great deal to the experience. This light is the key to transforming your being into the best version of yourself. The practice also brings in a witness to your emotional process and assistance from spiritual guides ready to assist you in the transition. The experience of the witness grows as one practices.
As you work on yourself, remember to be patient. Once you begin doing the work seriously and effectively, you start to clear the residue of centuries. Visualization is a process of thinking or imagining to create and focus on something you desire to explore. Visualization can be as simple as pictures or images you create in your mind.
For example, if you desire peace…image how peace would look and feel. Feel peace in your body, imagine how your body would feel if you were in total peace, visualize the pictures in your mind that you believe would bring you the peace you are seeking. Sit with this picture for a minute.
Doing this repeatedly is how you create your desire with visualization.
Many of us use visualization to create things we want. First in our minds by thinking of something that we want - then visually seeing it as a picture you create for yourself. Next connect with what we would feel like if we were in that picture...now we are creating an avenue of manifesting it within our lives.
Others have written and suggest this same visual concept, its very common to hear from many spiritual leaders that your thoughts and feelings manifest in your life. Visualization is a method to start manifesting what you want and need most, the key to making those desires real are you feelings. Even those suppressed feelings are contributing to the life we manifest.
You are constantly creating and build your life through your thoughts and feelings. The power of suggestion is orchestrated first in the form of thoughts. Visualization can be a method to experience what you long for, and it’s the cornerstone to manifesting that in your life.
Visualization can be a tool that you can use to build, enhance, and grow in your life.
Practice is the key to visualization. The more clear you become in your visions the better you will attract the manifestation of those visions.
Train yourself to see every detail of what it is you desire, and allow yourself to feel how it feels to hold that vision in your life. The more you visualize the greater the energy of desire formulates in support of your vision.
